import options file

Bryan Westhafer Dec 06, 2013 05:32PM EST

I am trying to import a demo options file into swipe and can not find the import/upload setting page inside the theme options. What am I missing? I know I have done this before.

Hi Bryan,

The Import/Export section is it’s own page and is not inside the theme options panel, you can find it as a submenu of the theme options menu in the WordPress sidebar, it’s titled Import/Export.

Swipe is by itself in the left sidebar. Hovering over or clicking does produce a drop down menu in the sidebar.

Correct, I understand that. Where in relation to where swipe shows up in the sidebar is the link to click for "import/export"?

I want to import the demo settings file that is attached to this page: http://support.rawfolio.com/customer/portal/articles/629244-swipe

I can't figure out where this import for the settings file is located. I have done this before. Could you please explain where to find this. Assume I just clicked on the dashboard link in the upper left hand side of the wordpress admin.

Hi Bryan,

The Import/Export page is a submenu of the Swipe menu item in the WordPress Sidebar. See these screenshots: http://on.rawfol.io/1bTP2US & http://on.rawfol.io/1glZsi6

That is what I was afraid of. That menu no longer appears. I have tried un installing the theme, and tried firefox, safari and chrome. Still nothing

The only way that menu would not appear is if there is something like a plugin overriding it’s location, or removing it from the menu, do you have any plugins running on your site?

All plugins are now turned off. I uninstalled theme and re-installed. No luck.
Wordpress 3.7.1
Swipe 1.1.3

Try downloading a fresh copy of Swipe from the My Account section of our website and installing that just to make sure the copy you have is not corrupted in some way.

I gave that a try and still no luck. Should we take this offline via email and I can give you guys access to my wp-admin?

For those wanting to know the solution, it turned out I had locked down my wp-admin (via wp-config.php) with the line below. I needed to change it to false.

define( 'DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', true );
